The word epiphany is a lovely word.
It kind of rolls off the tongue, and as today is the Epiphany I think it is most fitting that you have your own epiphany moment.
You will have read or heard me say often in the past month that January is not the time for making changes.
You are figuratively speaking going to be swimming upstream, having an uphill battle and going against your own biochemical processes if you put into action any plans to change in January.
If you want to do different this year then you need to use January to reflect on what you want to change, think about why you have not before and ensure that you can have (or can acquire) all the resources and skills you need to be able to make that change happen.
The brain and nervous system hate change.
They like familiar, which is your status quo.
So, you all need to stop jumping on the torture band wagon which is new year, new you, and start to plan properly.
New year, new processes.
If you do this now, then by March you will be ready to spring into action and be successful in your endeavours.
I promise this works in tune with your own rhythyms, your own energy, your own neural pathways.
Just start to think about what you want to change and what you need to do it.
Awareness, acceptance then action.
If you have not done the first two, then the third is not going to happen.
Become aware, accept the truth, then take action.
That is all you need to do.
