Prior to the start of our season of Spirit of Bonhomie I would like to invite you to take part in some research.
This research will measure the impact of the month on the following -
Using the PERMA profiler - The PERMA Profiler is a general measure, which measures flourishing and wellbeing in terms of 5 domains: positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment.
The Self Compassion Scale - Self-compassion involves relating to ourselves with self-kindness and less selfjudgment, feelings of common humanity and fewer feelings of isolation, mindfulness and decreased overidentification in situations of perceived failure, inadequacy, or personal suffering. It is one of the key areas that most people struggle with in life.
The purpose of the research will be to investigate how practicing the spirit of bonhomie improves levels of wellbeing, ability to flourish and compassion.
If enough of you subscribers partake then I can complete the maths in January and brighten up the start of 2024!
Even if you just want the numbers for your own benefit it is a good place to start any new thing!
Failing to recognise difference is often the key failure of maintaining change.
Especially when it comes to internal value change.
So this time let us do something different.
If you would like to be part of research then prior to the 1st of December please click HERE
You will be invited to complete the same questions again in the first week of January 2024 to see what the difference is!
If you want to complete the questionnaire, then withdraw from the research that is fine too. You just have to email me at drrachel@drracheltaylor.co.uk to let me know that you wish to withdraw from the research.
As described in previous writing the month of December is going to be dedicated to the spirit of bonhomie so we be focusing on all things good cheer, altruism, postive affect and joyfulness.
If you find any of this difficult or that it induces stress, anxiety or triggers trauma then please do contact support organisations such as the Samaritans on 116 123 or jo@samaritans.org. I intend for everyone to benefit from this month however I really do understand that it can be tough for many people.
I am looking forward to sharing my bonhomie with you in December and I intend that you enjoy receiving it then passing it on too!
Everyone is welcome to this adventure in good cheer so please pass on the information about it to anyone you feel would benefit!
