This is as easy or as complicated as you want it to be.
You can either do this the quick way or the not so quick way.
The quick way is to grab any turmeric you have in the house. It could be fresh, it could be dried, ground turmeric. Either way just put either a teaspoonful of grated fresh or a teaspoon of dried, ground turmeric in cup full of any milk you have to hand. Heat the milk up, drink and feel extremely virtuous in the kindness you have shown yourself.
The not so quick way is this.
To a small saucepan add coconut milk, almond milk, 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric, half a teaspoon of fresh grated or ground ginger, an eight of a teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of ground black pepper and optional teaspoon or coconut oil and a tablespoon of maple syrup.
Whisk to combine then heat for around 4 minutes.
Turmeric and its other spicy bedfellows are your kindness here.
It has been empirically proven that curcumin found in turmeric has healing, anti-inflammatory properties, with antimicrobial and anticancer effects. Black pepper added makes the curcumin in the turmeric more bioavailable and if you add the coconut oil it will add richness and also be better absorbed by our bodies. Coconut oil is a superfood fat. Don’t be scared to use it.
This is kindness in a cup.
Have one yourself, make one for someone else, pass it on.
Remember to tell two other people who need kindness in their lives.
Day one of kindness done!
You may want to keep a journal or notes of what we are going to do in the next 12 days. It is entirely up to you. When we keep written notes though we use different parts of the brain that ensures we remember things with more clarity and for longer.
