Organisation involves how we gather stimuli in our environment to complete tasks quickly and more effectively.
It’s all about how we arrange our environment and provide order and structure to the items and activities around us.
Today it is really simple.
Look around your environment.
How is it arranged?
Can you find the things that you need easily and simply?
It does not matter how you arrange things, you just need to be able to reach the things that you need in an orderly and structure way.
It may be a good habit to think about the demands of the next day and organise the tools you need to complete the day prior to the day starting.
This has the double whammy of enabling restful sleep as your mind is not wandering to times ahead.
The oft-repeated quip, “I’m sorry to write you a long letter, as I did not have time to write a short one,” could be applied to meetings: “I’m sorry to imprison you in this long meeting, as I did not have time to prepare a short one.”
