Chaos is defined as complete disorder and confusion.
Household chaos has been widely conceptualised as an environment characterised by two dimensions: disorganisation (e.g. clutter, ambient noise, crowding and lack of structure) and instability (e.g. frequent changes in residence, household occupants and routines).
Most studies have assessed household chaos via self report using the Confusion, Hubbub, and Order Scale (CHAOS) and have demonstrated adverse efects on executive functions including inhibitory control, cognitive flexibility and working memory if chaos present in the household.
Greater household disorganisation (e.g. household density, cleanliness), but not household instability, has been modestly, but signifcantly associated with lower performance in tasks measuring inhibitory control, attention shifting and working memory.
So today I want you to think about chaos being present in your life.
How present is it?
There is a lot of chaos in the wider environment so how do you control for it in your inner sanctum or home?
How much do you safeguard against chaos contagion?
If you aspire for peace, then how much chaose is in your consciousness?
Wanting organisation, order, and peace is not obsessive compulsive order but a sign of a regulated prefrontal cortex.
It is ok to view it positively and actively pursue it.
How much chaos can you remove today?
