Hello, and welcome to my 2024.
I wanted to set out a schedule of intention for this year and how we can all improve our neurological function, be healthier, happier (whatever your construct of happiness is!) and in general create a better (and kinder) world for ourselves.
We need to get better at utilising the cycles, rhythms and routines of the environment in which we live in so that will be the focus of 2024.
Living better, taking control and growing into who we were born to be.
Remember, we can create new neural pathways and synapses until the day we die, so it is never too late to achieve our potential if we take action.
The UK is the sickest country in Europe and many other countries are following suit… sickness can be averted by taking control of a toxic environment and changing it into one that is supportive, nurturing and caring.
I want to support you all into doing just that!
JANUARY
January will be all about not setting resolutions but embracing the true essence of joy, so look out for our 12 DAYS OF JOY beginning on 3rd January and culminating on Blue Monday which ironically falls on my birthday - 15th January this year.
FEBRUARY
The precursor to making change is understanding change and what needs to happen to make it happen. So this month I am inviting you to enjoy all there is about THE NEUROSCIENCE OF CHANGE.
MARCH/APRIL
March is the month of growth, newness and starting afresh so I am going to give to you the GROWTH mindset process which will be all you need to challenge and limitations you may have and boost you into making the changes that you need to make. This will take us through to April.
MAY/JUNE
May we are going to carry on our journey of understanding of how we interact with our environment and you can learn all you need to know about how you work and what you can do within PERFORM.
JULY/AUGUST
These months are all about IMPACT, how we can lead ourselves into a life worth living, as well as how we create and have impact on the tribe around us. This is a fantastic legacy process that impacted on me when I developed it!
SEPTEMBER
30 DAYS OF REFLECTION is the theme of September. I will invite you to finish a sentence, muse on a question, draw a doodle, mind map a word, all with the intention of making the unknown known to you. The brain is all about patterns, habits and certainties - let us harness this to gain more power over ourselves.
THOUGHTOBER
Reprising 2023’s popular 31 day cognitive function challenge let us take a journey of our prefrontal cortex and its abilities. I loved this last year, it was a favourite in our home and completed by all the family.
NOVEMBER
Emotional regulation is often misunderstood, I want to give you all a heads up on what emotional regulation is all about, why it is so important and how it is a sign of how healthy (or not) we are. It is a good time of year to understand our emotions and what they are telling us, especially as we move into December which emotionally is a tricky month for many.
DECEMBER
December 2024 is the time in which I will invite you all to join me in an advent of magnificence. I will be urging you all to create greatly and will supply all the resources that you need to do so. It will be the culmination of a huge year of enlightenment, renaissance and evolution.
