As I sit down to pen these words, I find myself in a period of deep reflection and reevaluation. The journey of sharing my thoughts, experiences, and insights with all of you has been both rewarding and challenging. However, I have come to a point where I no longer feel that the current path I am on provides the value and purpose that initially drove me to start this endeavour.
Over time, it has become increasingly apparent that the environment surrounding paid subscriptions has shifted in ways that no longer align with my values. I have always strived to offer genuine and meaningful content, but lately, the pressures and expectations of maintaining my extremely high standards against the back drop of not feeling there is a fair value exchange overshadowed the joy and authenticity of writing.
This realisation has prompted me to take a step back and reconsider how I can best contribute to a more positive and fulfilling creative space.
Navigating a Toxic Environment
One of the most challenging aspects has been the growing toxicity within the world. The environment has become increasingly hostile, with negativity taking a toll on my physical and emotional well-being.
This toxic atmosphere has not only affected my motivation but also my creativity. Writing, which once felt like a liberating and expressive outlet, has become fraught with anxiety and self-doubt. I believe that fostering a healthy and positive environment is crucial for any creative endeavor, and unfortunately, this has been compromised.
Personal Hardships and Reevaluation
In addition to these external factors, I have faced significant personal hardships that have further influenced my decision. Life's challenges have a way of altering our perspectives, and for me, they have underscored the importance of prioritising my health and well-being. These experiences have made me acutely aware of the need to reassess my commitments and focus on what truly matters.
As I navigate through these difficult times, I have realised that continuing on the current path is not sustainable. The need for a change has never been clearer. It is essential for me to take a step back, breathe, and realign my writing with the values and principles that resonate with me.
A New Beginning
With all this in mind, I have decided to pause paid subscriptions and take a new approach to my writing. This decision is not made lightly, and I understand it may come as a surprise. However, I believe it is necessary for my growth and well-being. Moving forward, I intend to focus on creating content that prioritises authenticity, positivity, and meaningful engagement. Creating a fair and just value exchange.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Your encouragement and kindness have been a source of strength, and I hope you will continue to join me as I embark on this new chapter.
Together, we can create a space that celebrates creativity, connection, and genuine expression.
Thank you for understanding and for being a part of this journey. Here’s to new beginnings and a future filled with joy, growth, and positive transformation.
With love and gratitude,
Dr Rachel
From the end spring new beginnings.
I dont know what to say. On one hand this feels sad as I have so valued your writings and workbooks and they have made a difference. And then I feel uplifted that you will be following your joy, looking after yourself and from this something new will emerge.
Wishing you the best and look forward to the next chapter 😊
Hey Dr Rach- I have only just seen this message as I'm usually a little behind on the emails. Firstly I am genuinely happy that you have come to the realisation that you must prioritise your health and wellbeing. Well done you- it isn't possible to be all things to all people without doing something for yourself. I think that the work you do is fantastic- you know that- you probably don't hear it enough and that may be disheartening. Well please be encouraged- sometimes it takes a long time for people to appreciate what is being offered to them. Stay blessed and I wish you good health happiness and great creative juices going forward x
