Don't be a victim. Life isn't fair and bad things happen to really good people. How you react (or don't) will determine if you will stay in the place of a victim, or a survivor. Always find a way to be a thriving survivor even if its hard and seems to take forever!
Oh I love this :-) exactly. This is what every child needs to know! Interestingly I finished recording a biohcks for parents series (watch this space!) and I talked about competition in it. In the UK schools and child centred activities are all about the 'just taking part' which is not how the real world is. Yes do not be ultra competitive if it does not matter to you, but learn when it matters as competition is everywhere!
I would say try not to be afraid- afraid of new things, afraid of relationships, career journey, changes, animals !! We all have fears but some of us allow our fears so much power- think people ( me included) who are terrified of mice- how illogical is that? I would also say never start smoking- that is such a hard habit to break.
Lisa, I have a fear of rats.. they are so darned clever and they have such sharp teeth! Interestingly I am never scared of sticks or snakes which evolutionarily speaking we should be ha ha ha.
You are quite right though... our economy thrives off fear... human beings alas, do not.
Yes, don't take it personal... so many people immediately assume responsibility for the actions of others.. it is a powerful action to just hand it all back!
I may reframe your doom, gloom and grumpy into the new dwarves of realism, truthfulness and grieving... I agree with you, there is not sight of much joy at the moment. This is why we need to create a better world :-)

Oooh Andy you’ve given me an idea for a whole new discussion! Thank you!
You're welcome. Looking forward to it!

I would advice: ‘Don’t take it personal, they don’t know what they say or what they do to you’.
Second advice: ‘Be kind as much as you can regardless everything going on’.
