On the twelve day of kindness, my neuroscientist gave to me....
The power of singing and music
Well here we are on the final day of the twelve days of kindness.
Tomorrow is also my birthday.
So I would like to invite you to all to sing happy birthday to me!
Seriously though, music and the brain is a big thing.
It is a hugely kind thing to do for yourself to listen to, to play, to sing to music. It is a global phenomena and has long lasting effects.
When you sing these things happen -
A boost to your immune system.
Release of stress.
Heart rate rise which is good.
Increase your energy.
Improve your memory.
Supports clarity of thought through correct breathing.
So today for five minutes listen to music, play music, sing, do all three!
I would love you to check out Idles, Kill them with kindness… It is a catchy old tune!
Music in all forms benefits you so much and is a much healthier and kinder habit to promote than many others.
So share my birthday wish of a global happy birthday song to anyone you think would benefit.
I really intend you have enjoyed this kinder, more beneficial, more neuroscience approach to 2023.
Kindness is always going to be the best way to invite change and transformation into your life.
If you have completed all 12 of the days activities you have already started 2023 in a different way to how you started 2022!
Think about that.
I am on a huge mission in 2023 to be magnificent and create greatly. I want to create a better (and kinder) world, one brain at a time.
A true antedote to all that keeps people small, unresrouceful, unwell, stressed, traumatised, the list is endless.
So please do pass on this mission to anyone that you think would benefit.
I do not use the agents of darkness within other social media platforms.
The (UN)Broken Podcast and this Substack are are my only platforms of reaching out, so I rely on you people to help us grow organically.
Be part of something positive and share away!
Looking forward to our 2023 together. Let us all be magnificent.
“If you’re able to be yourself, then you have no competition. All you have to do is get closer and closer to that essence.”
Happy belated birthday- I did listen to the kill them with kindness song- didn't like the tune but got the sentiment in the words- almost bopped my head but didn't quite make it !!
Happy Birthday, Dr.Rachel! May you have energy and love and be surrounded by kind people who vibrate on the same frequency!
