I have had some people reaching out to ask about how best to meet the 56 days. So I am going to give you a little guidance here.
The process is simple. Everyday for 56 days from the 1st March 2023 you will get a prompt that includes INFORMATION, CONTEMPLATION & EXERCISE. It has been designed so that you can spend just 10 minutes on it or as much time as you want to.
There will be 6 days of activity then a day of pause and reflection so that you can consolidate your process from the previous days.
I have also created threads that will be available after your pause and reflect days as accountability from me to you, but also if you want to share, reach out to others, or just use it for your own process.
The themes of the process are as follows
DAYS 1-7, embracing change
DAYS 8-14, loss, grief and celebration
DAYS 15-21, all things environmental
DAYS 22-28, wellbeing BASICS
DAYS 29-35, communication and persuasion
DAYS 36 - 42, motivation and reward
DAYS 43 - 49, punishment, kindness and longevity
DAYS 50 - 56, balance, homeostasis and being the best version of you (now and forever)

So for everyone who is in, I will share with you what I am doing, as I too am using the time as prompts to change something in my life.
So first of all get the tools.
I have got a brand new book in which to journal my responses to exercises plus any contemplation that I wish to do.
This is essential if you want to notice how much change you are making. It is always good to have a guide to look back on.
The second thing I am going to do is set some time in my schedule to be able to read through the prompt for the day. This is to give the brain something to anchor to. When we are wanting to change then it is essential that we give the brain as much certainty in other areas as possible. The email will hit your inboxes at 5AM and I am going to read and complete the prompts first thing as then I am able to utilise the insights for the day. You may choose something else. It does not really matter as long as you choose a time and are consistent with it.
The third thing I will do is ensure that I am hydrated, well rested, had good nutrition and also get good natural light with a bit of increased heart rate every day. These are just the BASICS and we need these to be solid in order to ensure that we are not self-sabotaging or punishing ourselves.
The fourth thing I will do is treat myself kindly. I know there will be ups and downs, that life may get in the way sometimes or maybe I am going to sabotage myself. The important thing is to reinforce, this is not a fad. This is not a quick fix to get something that is not long lasting. So it is about making small steps to get big shifts over the long term.
Lastly, my need to have tool is, connection; human beings need human beings, we need each other for support, for accountability, for comfort, for laughter and for good biofeedback of chemicals. We are more likely to succeed if we have the right kind of people around us. The right kind being those who want us to succeed, and are not fearful of us being different.
So, after I have gathered my tools of the trade and ensured I have given the process credence. I need to solidify the change that I want to make.
Now, this could be absolutely anything and everything.
It could be that you wish to increase the amount of hydration you have in a day consistently. It may be that you wish to learn a new skill. It could be that you want to improve the quality of your relationships. It really could be anything at all.
My change is a huge one (for me) and is something that I have always struggled with.
Self-value, Self-worth and appreciation.
My goal is that by the end of the process I will have a solid foundation of knowing my value with a daily habit of appreciation.
I am going to journal my process and will share this with you all.
I have invited those who have reached out to me to do the same so that their own process can be shared anonymously so that they have their acheivements on record too!

Remember, change is not easy and there will be good days, bad days and downright ugly days.
If change is not for you right now, that too is great.
You are choosing for things to remain exactly the same.
This is neither good nor bad, it just is the circumstance.
AND
As long as you own who you are, take all responsibility and are your own version of socially constructed happiness then all is fantastic.
If you do not own who you are, absolve responsibility to others and are perpetually unhappy then I gently urge you to reconsider your thinking of change.
Everyone deserves to live the life that they want to live.
It is not up to any of us to judge or finger point.
It is up to all of us to model our own version of being our best selves so that we can give permission to others to do the same.
So that is it for the preparation time writing.
For those of you on the fence, just do it. 56 days are going to pass anyway, you may as well have something to aim for.

We fluctuate and energy ebbs and flows so just start with the intention of kindness underpinning everything else. This is about small steps to get you the change you want!
